Why Assessment (or testing)?

Hiring the right candidate for the job is important. Sometimes an interview and a reference check does not provide sufficient information regarding English skills, problem solving skills, accountability, management skills, communicative skills, commercial (sales) skills or dependability.
Some of our positions carry a great responsibility and therefore our clients request us to assess our candidates on the requirements of the job. Due to frequent requests we partnered with Specialist Dutch Assessment Bureau Test2know (www.test2know.nl).

Our Assessment partner: Test2know

Test2know’s core business is assessing candidates and over the past 15 years they have tested over 5000 applicants. Together with Test2know we adapted their Psychometric test to remove the language and cultural barriers. The reports from Test2know are written in English.

Is testing necessary for new hires only?

Most definitely not. In many cases we test the current staff for benchmarking the department or we test the key people in our client’s organization for comparison with the new hire(s). Also in case a staff desires to be promoted a test could be required to see if the person is ready for the new responsibilities.

Our IQ test measures the reasoning and problem solving abilities of the candidate.

Our EQ test analyses character traits of the candidate such as reliability, mental stability, confidence, activeness, decisiveness, responsibility, management skills and sales skills.

English Tests

Our Business English Assessment focuses -in addition to regular grammar and vocabulary- on the candidate’s knowledge on workplace vocabulary and common business phrases.

IQ test Info

The IQ test contains 24 questions and the candidate will have 60 minutes to complete the test. Some questions are easy and some will take more time to solve. The IQ test is a so-called “aptitude test”. The word aptitude means “how quickly or easily you will be able to learn in the future”.

Our IQ test focuses mainly on two areas.
• Numerical aptitude: general mathematical skills – working with numbers quickly and accurately.
• Spatial aptitude: understanding geometric forms, and the understanding and identification of patterns and their meaning. Example: understanding how to construct a flatpack piece of furniture from a set of instructions.

We have adapted the test to match with the Vietnamese candidates who desire to work for our foreign clients. As the test is in English there is a minimum level of English required.

EQ test Info

The EQ test contains 200 questions. An example question could be: “Do you normally let the other person start the conversation?”. There is no right or wrong answer to this. The candidate can agree, disagree or be uncertain about the question.
All answers are put in a Matrix which shows the scores of the character traits of the candidate.

In this test the candidates are measured on accountability, management skills, communicative skills, commercial (sales) skills or dependability.

Like the IQ and English test, this test also shows a snapshot of what kind of person the candidate is at the time of testing in her/his life. People can always work on the skills in case they received a lower score. However, this information is very relevant for the future manager of the new hire since the manager will be aware of the candidate’s strengths and weaknesses.

Our FAQ

Is it possible to only do the IQ test or the EQ test?

Yes this is possible. Please contact our office and we will let you know the costs for each individual test. However it works better to do a package of tests in order to get a full understanding of the candidate.

How long will the tests take?

For the English test there is no time limit. The candidate can take as much time as he or she needs for this. The IQ test is limited to a maximum of 60 minutes and the EQ test has also no limit on the time.

Can I get a discount?

Discount is possible in case you would like to purchase several packages at once.

How does a report look like?

How many tests have you conducted since the establishment of Jobs 4 Everyone?

We started offering test packages to our clients in 2009. Over the past years we have tested over 300 candidates.

Will the IQ test tell me if my IQ is 120, 140 or a 160?

No, it will not. We will share only the strengths and weaknesses of the candidate and share the amount of questions that were answered correctly.

Am I allowed to use a calculator or other tools during the test?

No, this is not allowed but there will be no need for it as well.

What if I score low on a test?

The test results of our English, IQ and EQ are a representation of the candidate at the time the test is conducted. It is a snapshot of the candidate at that time. As most people develop more skills in their life during their career it will be very likely that those new skills will show signs of improvement when the test is made again after a few years.
